pinguino and video processing? - maartenva - 31-10-2011

Hi,

I'm wondering if it would be possible to use a 18f4550 to capture video from a camera (640x480) and transmit it over usb / wifi / rf or bluetooth.
Would the cpu be fast enough to transmit a few frames/sec.

I'm thinking about maken a little wireless robot with a camera on it and I would like to control it using tablet of cellphone.

Any idea's?

Thanks
Maarten

640x480 = 307200 bytes necessary for 8 bit color or x3 if 24 bit color
PIC18F4550 have no such amount of ram

there doesn't have to be color and it's always possible to use extrenal storage (RAM)

I found a site today but they're still a far away
