Program memory allocation - shuzonudas - 27-02-2013

How to control the program memory allocation in pinguino?
I want my code to start form 0x00 address.. how to do it ?

Choose ICSP from Board Selector but take care because bootloader is at 0x0000.
If you do that :
- you will no longer be able to use the USB bootloader until you burn it again.
- you will have to use a programmer (pickit3 for ex.) to burn your application.

Thanks for your reply !
dose pinguino ide X.3 has the option to choose ICSP in board selector ??
I can not find it in board selector menu..
i am using ide X.3.

ok i have downloaded the X.4 IDE and found the board selector menu.
Now i want to make hex for 18f2550,18f4550 ans 18f4520 devices(using ICSP not using the bootloader).
How to do it ? There is no option for that device...
Is there any way to add a new device in pinguino ?

No sorry, this is available only with x.4
x.3 is obsolete and will be removed very soon.
You can get an x.4 Windows Package here : http://code.google.com/p/pinguino32/downloads/list

You can add anything. The code is mostly very simple - just look at it and make the changes.

I'm wondering why you're using Pinguino at all, bearing in mind all the things you've posted. Why not just use MPLAB / MPLABX, for example?
