RE: USB device not defined
Hi,
Unpack x.2 AND win32 in the same directory and that's it.
You will get something like that :

x.2 folder
--examples
--extra
--locale
--p8 --> libraries for 8-bit, OS independent
--p32 --> libraries for 32-bit, OS independent
--source
--theme
--win32
----p8 --> 8-bit compiler, binaries are OS dependent, leave this folder here, nothing to do
----p32 --> 32-bit compiler, binaries are OS dependent, leave this folder here, nothing to do

i'm trying to unzip again X.2.zip and W32.zip .
i got a question:
after unpacked x.2.zip file in a new folder i have to unpack w32.zip into the same folder right?

it means x2 flder ill get another folder named win32 with inside 2 folders named p8 and p32 , so i can leave them inside to win32 folder or i must copy both folders (p8 ,p32) overwriting existing in main folder ?

It is easier to complain than it is to do, but it is better to do than it is to complain.

RE: USB device different
ok,
i did it,
then i am sure all parts of x2 still ok.

i'm running it and loading blink file

i got a compiling error using P32 pinguino >>>
then i try with UNoequo and its ok >>>
then ill upload to the board and at first i got an error message about
an image file " connec9.ico file does not exist " >>>
but i know it isn't necessary infact it go ahead pressing OK.
(after i did insert that missing file copying it from 905 version and it doesn't show this error)
then chosing the blink file and pressing to write button in the black window in background it show another error... >>>

it seem can't find or write in the USB device , like i said on start
Now i will try to uninstall all PyUSB and reinstall again just to see if something different happens

Hi,
there is a way to reload bootloader into the board?
cause i think something was wrong at the start,
at beginning the gren led was flashing but no more after first bootloader enter
dont know if it is normal so i wish i can try reloading the bootloader .

it is possible?
Tnx

RE: USB device different
Hi Dave74,

I also encountered the same error while trying to write the program into our Pinguino board. Regis has provided a solution and it solved my problem. These are the tutorials to get all the software installed in Win7 and WinXP. You may look for "Error Writing Program to Pinguino Board?". It should be somewhere near the end of the post. Hope it helps...and of course, credit to Regis!

About the bootloader issue, I'm not sure if it was gone because I don't have a Pinguino PIC32. But PICuno Equo is using PIC18F4550, not PIC32, so you cannot compile your code using it. And if you really need to reprogram the bootloader firmware, you can use the ICSP connection provided on the baord via PICkit3 Programmer.

RE: USB device different
Hi Kiate,
Really thanks for the help,

i was almost to give up when i changed some times in PREFERENCES the board name, first with generic and tryied with no results then again with the right one Pic32 pinguino and it worked finally !!!

ill try again for to be sure with other files

Thanks
Big Grin

Ok, finally i got it !!!

i did some try...
for make it work u need to:

1. on preferences choose the board type as the compiler run with no errors (i used PicUNo Equo)
2. push compiling button
3. on preferences again select the right board you got (my is Pic32 Pinguino)
4. push on Upload button

in output message it say:

"ERASING..
WRIGHTING HEX FILE
...................................
RESETTING DEVICE "

It work !!!
I think something is wrong on the IDE file later ill try with the other (not fixed one) X2 version.

Hope it can help

thanks anyway

Tnx

RE: USB device different
Hi Dave74,
Great !
I think I was a little bit confused between the different version of IDE and boards you used.
The best solution with 9.5 is to exit the IDE and launch it again.
This bug has been corrected and x.2 works fine.

RE: USB device different
Hello Regis,
no i use the x.2 fixed version like Kiate said to try, so maybe is a bug of x.2 version , anyway i don't think it work properly ,cause u must change the board type 2 times, it depends what project u want to compile.

I just find the way to make it work but isn't the correct way. (look what i posted )
We need to try with 9.5 version too cause i didn't try yet.

Here bellow u can see what version i'm using.
Tnx
