interface between PC with pinguino 18f4550
hai , i am wilson.

i am beginner to learn about pinguino.
i had success to create pinguino and able to do running LED.

The problem is how PC communicates between the pinguino and PC though the USB. Mean that, when i press the button on the interface, the data will send to pinguino to on the LED.

what is the software is require ? what should i do?
i had try to google, but less info about pinguino..

hope anyone can help..thank you

RE: interface between PC with pinguino 18f4550
Hi Wilson,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean ...

If you want to run your own application on your Pinguino, you need the IDE on your PC and a bootloader on the Pinguino. PC and Pinguino communicate only when IDE transfers your application on the Pinguino. When your led blinks, there is no communication with your PC. Try to unplug your USB cable and feed some extra power supply into your board, the led will keep on blinking.

You can also make an application running on the Pinguino that communicate with your PC through USB. You need a terminal on your PC (putty or hyperterminal under Windows, gterm or minicom under Linux).

Try this provided example : examples/04.Communication/USB/CDC/GetKey.pde

I hope it helps you.

It is easier to complain than it is to do, but it is better to do than it is to complain.
