Pinguno found as USB input device?
Hello,

I have recently acquired a couple PIC32-Pinguino's, assembled by Olimex. The micro on-board is a PIC32MX440F256H. I am using Windows 7 on an AMD 64bit processor.

I have been going through all the tutorials for installing the drivers for the device (such as installing libusb, python, pinguino IDE, etc) and am having a bit of trouble. Whenever I plug the pinguino in via USB, it is not detected. If I then remove it and reconnect it in "bootloader" mode (holding down the button next to the usb port), it is found as a USB Input Device.

According to the tutorials, this should be showing up as "Pinguino Project" or something similar. I have tried removing the drivers and installing them manually, but they do not appear to be working. If anyone has any tips on how to get this guy up and running I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks,

John

Sounds like you're not pressing the buttons correctly. Refer more carefully to wiki / manual / etc.
