Question about Pinguino boards
I am new at this. I purchased a Pinguino MX220 and want to install and play with it. The literature, dirvers, etc are a little confusing. Can anyone, in a few brief steps, tell me how to download the proper driver and get the board to become alive?I have managed to get the IDE operational, but when I try one of the examples I get a USB write error.

Thanks in advance,

Follow the wiki (there are also posts about what you asked already on here).

One thing I, as a newbie, do not care for is:you ask a question and you are given a link for a reply. I did go to wiki as suggested and got nothing that makes sense. Here is the message I get when I try to run a program:

Board: PIC32 Pinguino 220
Proc: 32MX220F032D
File: C:\Users\Andrew\Documents\x4-easy-rev685mod\examples\03.Analog\Fading\Fading.pde
compilation done

USB HID device found: 1610633216 bytes free

Writing hex file 'C:\Users\Andrew\Documents\x4-easy-rev685mod\examples\03.Analog\Fading\Fading.hex':....................................................................
Resetting device...

USB HID device found
C:\Users\Andrew\Documents\x4-easy-rev685mod\win32\p32\bin\mphidflash.exe Error: USB write error

Can someone tell me what all this means? No links, please.

RE: Question about Pinguino boards
What's your OS ? Windows 7 ?
It is easier to complain than it is to do, but it is better to do than it is to complain.

RE: Question about Pinguino boards
An single integer multiplication on the maple takes about 0.2us, where a float multiplication takes around 1.48us and a double multiplication takes about 2us. Since the pinguino is 8MHz faster, will this show a notable increase?
I passed the CCNA test today with a score of 964. This was a difficult test but the preparation 100-101 was very good. and also visit CISCO Best of Luck.

RE: Question about Pinguino boards
Time some loops on both devices if speed matters. Post what you did please as someone else may also wonder one day.

My experience of modern CPU data sheets is to time actual code LOL
