How I calculated the SPBRG = 1249 can be found in the datasheet for PIC18F2550 clearly.

Now you may want to go back to Pinguino serial.c and add a debug line to display the SPBRG calculated is same as 1249. You will also want to display the frequency to confirm 48MHz.

Hey DJ,

I've found how to calculate the SPBRG.

Now could I hardcode this to 1249 for my PIC. Not that I want a quick and dirty solution but it could help me in debugging with UART. I don't really know how to debug with USB in serial.c...

Then I only need to find a way to build the source code. I've got allot to figure out so I think I'm going to document how to debug and build pinguino in the mediawiki, if this is ok?
