Hi Fred,

If Python v2.7 (check if C:\Python27\python.exe file exists) and pySide v1.2.2 (check if C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\PySide\__init__.py exists) are present on the system, the installer don't install them again.

Maybe you can unistall pySide and python from your computer, and then re run the installer.

NOTE: If you have these two software (Python v2.7 and pySide v1.2.2 installed) the new Pinguino IDE v11 would run fine anyway. Please, check it.

RE: windows 8.1 64-bits
Hi, I have tried to install Pinguino IDE (v1.1.0-beta3) in Windows 8 x64 and it fails.

The installer message is "Wheel not installed. Error: 2!"

What can I do?

Thanks.

Leonardo.

Hi Leonardo!

The step made by the installer (Line 296 of Pinguino.nsi file) are as follow:

Code:
# Wheel install...
'"C:\Python27\Scripts\pip.exe" install wheel'

# Beautifulsoup install
'"C:\Python27\Scripts\pip.exe" install beautifulsoup4'

Please, try these commands at CMD and see what's the error returned.

P.D.: Don't change the C:\ drive while installing Python27. Other drive letter than C:\ and the IDE doesn't work.
