A Distribution independed Linux installer
i was disappointed to find out that the listed installer options for the latestPingduino IDE only support windows and Debian, if i had enough knowledge to "port" that installer into a Generic or at least for me RPM based system. so im hoping you "the pingduino devs" will eventually make one for those systems 2, goodluck and thanks for all of your work devs!

RE: A Distribution independed Linux installer
Meanwhile you might try that :

1/ Download alien with your favorite package manager

2/ Download all deb packages from here

3/ Convert all deb to rpm : sudo alien --to-rpm --scripts package.deb

4/ Install all rpm

Or you can also proceed to a manual installation :

1/ Download all archives (tar.lzma) packages from here

2/ Create a Pinguino folder in your home

3/ Extract libraries et ide archives in your Pinguino folder

4/ Extract compilers archives in Pinguino/compilers (you might have to create it before)

5/ Edit qtgui/config/linux.pinguino.conf and paths.cfg, change the path according where the compilers, the IDE and the Libraries are.
It is easier to complain than it is to do, but it is better to do than it is to complain.
