My first Pinguins

My first Pinguins
Hi to all
Last year I bought the Pinguins board PIC32-PINGUINO-MICRO. I intend to use it among others as a device to read out program cassettes from vintage control units. Additionally I will use it for a in-and output port for various experiments with logics, for instance to read out the PROM 74LS288, used in the vintage controls as an address decoder.
The many opportunities of this little board amazes me. Right now I am trying to install the IDE software on my MAC. Before I used Windows 7. On this the IDE works except downloading the code to the board (board not found). I then installed the same on a virtual PC (Oracle Virtual box) using Windows XP. There everything works including downloading the code to the board.
I am still looking for a software to transfer files read out in the Pinguino from or to MAC or PC and for interaction.
I take great value to be honest and will not tolerate any lies.
My hobbies are environment protection, energy saving and mountain climbing.
